Coming Fully Alive Is Not Easy

At our upcoming workshop on Tuesday 10 February 2026, one or two men will have the opportunity to do a piece of carpet work.

Whenever I step onto the carpet to do a piece of work on myself, I always feel scared. It takes courage to open up old wounds and trauma. It is not easy to recover, love, and heal parts of ourselves that were shaped in pain and difficulty.

So why go back there?

The challenge is that the parts of us that were wounded long ago often continue to function in the same wounded way. It can feel as though these traumatised parts are still living, to some extent, in the time when the wounding occurred. No wonder they continue to trouble us.

In this workshop, a couple of men will have the chance to recognise, love, accept, and care for parts of themselves that were wounded long ago, and to bring these parts into the care and containment of their kingly hearts.
