Starting with our Soulful Sovereign

As we tire in the long Hero’s Journey—having travelled outward, and hopefully upward, in our great effort to establish ourselves and make something of ourselves in the world—we begin to realise that our youthful journey is coming to an end. With this recognition comes the first inklings that a second journey is approaching: the Sovereign’s journey, a movement toward depth, meaning, inner knowing, growth, love, and peace.

And so we turn inward. We tunnel down into ourselves. This is a journey of recovery and integration. Our King turns toward the inner world, where he loves, heals, repurposes, and gathers all parts of himself, leading them into—and from—the generous, inclusive, loving heart of the Sovereign.

Held by the Sovereign, embracing all that we are, we then turn outward once more—this time toward the forces in life that support our highest expression. Our King establishes, develops, and nurtures all in creation that seeks to support us in serving our families, our communities, and life itself. The Sovereign welcomes and encourages the greater force of love and vitality that longs to express itself through us. In this way, the King offers himself and his Kingdom to the All That Is, surrendering to a higher love that may then move freely through all that he creates.
